Lisa Roling, LCSW
Lisa Roling is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with patients and families facing serious illness. She earned her bachelors degrees in sociology and social work, as well as her masters in social work, at the University of Georgia in Athens. Lisa has been with Saint Joseph’s Hospital since 2008, having spent three years as a member of the Palliative Care team before joining Florence Hays Erb Oncology Services. As the oncology social worker, Lisa understands that when a person is facing cancer, it impacts not only their body, but also their mind, heart, and spirit. She is available to offer support, education, and referrals to community resources to help ease the burdens that can come while living with cancer. Some of the services Lisa offers include:
- Supportive counseling and referrals to additional support programs
- Helping communicate concerns and needs to the medical team
- Assist with finding financial assistance when needed
- Help with advanced care planning (i.e., power-of-attorney documents and living wills)
- Assist patients with accessing resources available to them
Cancer affects every aspect of life and its journey can be difficult to travel alone. Lisa is available to help you navigate through this time the best way possible. Lisa's services are offered at no charge to our patients and is included in your comprehensive care.
