Hamid Mirsalimi, PhD, ABPP

Dr. Mirsalimi is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Atlanta and a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and received his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles.
After earning his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University, Dr. Mirsalimi completed his internship at Harvard Medical School/McLean Hospital, followed by postdoctoral fellowships at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Mirsalimi is board certified in clinical psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. His clinical practice offers services for adult, adolescent, couple, marital, and family therapy with specialization in depressive spectrum disorders, health psychology and chronic illness. He has worked extensively in the areas of HIV/AIDS and cancer for the past fifteen years. Dr. Mirsalimi is a frequent presenter with numerous professional presentations to his credit. Dr. Mirsalimi is a valued member of the prostate cancer care team at Saint Joseph’s and has served as co-facilitator of the prostate cancer support group for the past eight years.
