Dr. Nancy H. Wiggers, MD
Dr. Wiggers has a Health Physics degree from The Georgia Institute of Technology. Her medical degree is from the Medical College of
Georgia where she also completed a Radiation Oncology residency in 1994. She has been board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology since 1995.
Dr. Wiggers successfully practiced radiation oncology in the Atlanta area for 10 years prior to joining with Radiation Oncology Services in 2005. She is now a key member of the ROS physician staff, and is the current medical director of the Radiation Oncology Department at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. Dr. Wiggers performs prostate seed implant procedures, external beam radiation therapy with IMRT and was instrumental in creating the high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy treatment of prostate cancers at Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
Dr. Wiggers has been featured on the Atlanta-based men's health radio show on a variety of subjects including understanding the potential effects of radiation treatment for prostate cancer and living with the long-term effects of radiation therapy.
