Alice Kerber, MN, RN, AOCN, APNG

Alice Kerber is an oncology clinical nurse specialist at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and currently serves a nurse navigator  for the thoracic (lung) oncology program at Saint Joseph’s.  Alice also serves as the Genetics Nurse Coordinator, educating patients and managing all aspects of genetic testing for the oncology program. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Virginia and master’s degree in nursing from Emory University.  In 2009, Alice earned the Advanced Practice Nurse in Genetics (APNG) certification from the Genetic Nursing Credentialing Commission. She is currently the only nurse in Georgia to have this certification in genetic counseling.

Throughout her career, Alice has worked extensively with prostate cancer patients and their families. She coordinated the annual prostate cancer screening at Saint Joseph’s for ten years while serving as the cancer prevention and detection nurse with the CanScreen program. Alice is a frequent presenter at community education events and cancer survivorship programs. She is an advocate and resource for patients and their families.
